  144. Dionne - I would photograph my Grandfather. For as long as I can remember he's had a fascination with Polaroid cameras. Not long before dementia starting taking its toll he showed me his old 400 series Polaroid, which had definitely seen better days, and asked if there was anything I could do to get it working again. It had been used to document many of our family events and even some of my finer moments (like the Halloween where my Mother and Grandmother dressed me like a scarecrow and insisted I was a clown). I can't think of a better medium in which to capture his memory and I think he'd really enjoy taking a crack at it again, himself.

To start, I have a weekend planned for the coast of lovely England - Bournemouth and the beautiful county of Devon, I can only imagine the magic that this little SX-70 would produce when photographing the runs of beach huts painted in all sorts of colours, or the quaint streets of the fishing villages in Devon. The next adventure I would take it along on would be on my trip to Tanzania and Kenya in December where some amazing moments will be captured of Masai warriors and nomadic villages - and if I'm prepared to lose an arm, a lion's eye :)
    June 29, 2010
  148. Carly - the best part about polaroids is that you don't need any special crazy adventure to capture the most beautiful shots. it's the random, spur-of-the moment adventures that are the real jems; the homeless guy on the corner with the best smile in town, camping in the backyard just for fun, catching your boyfriend singing his heart out in his undies, a butterfly on the first flower to bloom this spring. it's the little moments, the beauty in the everyday things, the things youve seen a million times but never captured...thats when your polaroid makes magic. i want to make magic!
    June 29, 2010
  149. Aromy - Lucky for me, when I heard the Polaroid announcement a few years ago, I bought tons of film on eBay and stored them in my fridge. I still have a few left. June 29, 2010
  343. Kevin Charlie - I remember my parents having a polaroid camera when I was growing up - watching the magic of a priceless moment appear right before your eyes in a matter of minutes. This camera was always during birthdays, camping weekends and other important moments in life that are priceless to me and I still love visiting my parents and going through the old photo albums and looking at the amazing original polaroids in all their glory. If I were to win this little gem, I would do the same thing my parents did. Capture life's moments as they happen. That would be my adventure. Especially now that I have a niece, I would love to capture her with a one of a kind original moment. A physical memory that she could hold in her little hands and experience the same magic that I did when I was young. That's the cool thing about polaroid - you can physically hold onto a moment in your hands. You can feel the texture and watch it develop right before your eyes. So so so much more meaningful than watching pixels being rendered on a computer screen. There is just something about film that digital will never be able to duplicate or ever replace. Its magic isn't it? :D [kc]
    June 29, 2010
  344. andrew lee - i would use this for our anniversary in palm springs this october. my wife and i were broken into and had all of our honeymoon pictures stolen - so we're re-visting palm springs to kind of re-create the honeymoon at the ace hotel.

    June 29, 2010
  346. Elizabeth G. - I have be a-lustin' after this puppy for some time, but a college student must eat, and so i also must wait for my polaroid. I am headed to the great state of Texas in August, cross-country from the west, so it will be well used in the glorious sun. Thanks for offering the great give away, and, of course, for all your beautiful photographs that you share with the world.
    June 29, 2010
  347. Christopher Robin - So I am going to China for my day job this Fall. Hong Kong, Shanghai and possibly Taipei. While in Shanghai I plan to visit a 400 year old canal village called Zhou Zhang. It's a beautiful location and has been well preserved. I've shot film there before but never Time Zero. What a treat it would be to pack the SX-70 in my bag for the long journey! P.S. I was recently delighted to find out that the company I work for actually developed some of the electronics in the SX-70 cameras. Not that I suggest you should open up an SX-70 but if you were to do so, you'd see our logo on the circuit board. Cool huh?
    June 29, 2010
  348. Jayme - OMGosh, how fun would this be to win! I would love to take my kids to the beach and have fun with this camera... thanks for the awesome giveaway!
    June 29, 2010
  349. Jordan - I suppose it's first adventure (if I won and got it in time) would be my roadtrip planned in mid-July to music festivals in Chicago and Baltimore. This afternoon I had been looking through all of the polaroids of my first road trip, which to date has been the longest and most expansive, and most fun. The polaroids I brought home made it the most well-remembered. It was also the only trip where I had enough film for a polaroid a day and a camera that didn't end up getting run over, like on my trip last year.. -_- Haha.
    June 29, 2010
  350. Carolyn Egerszegi - Eeeeeeek!! I would LOVE a polaroid camera... remember me? The girl who sent you my old polaroid film because I didn't have the camera any more? And as for where I would use it if I won? I am travelling to Hungary in August and it would be amazing to shoot Polaroid there. I promise to blog every shot if I win. Can't you see it already? Old Eastern European cobblestone streets, rolling fields of sunflowers, 300-year-old churches, vintage Communist-era coffee shops and fabulous marketplaces with rows of bright red dried paprikas... I'd sure love to immortalize all of those memories on polaroid. Good luck to everybody else, but really, I hope I win!
    June 29, 2010
  351. Ashley D. - This little guy would provide an amazing date opportunity when I visit my boyfriend who is working at a professional theatre 2 hours away. June 29, 2010
  352. Ashley G - I would probably head to the beach. I love polaroid cameras--I broke mine last fall, and I've been so sad about it. This would be SO cool!
    June 29, 2010
  353. Kelley Frese - O MY GOODNESS!!!! How absolutely FUN! Back in December my friend and fellow photographer gave me a road trip to Washington for my birthday. June 29, 2010
  354. Carrie Roseman - carrie.roseman@gmail.com. Well, I would bring this baby with me everywhere. But the first thing I would shoot with it would be a mostly nude maternity session on the beach. June 29, 2010
  365. rhart - I love all the examples on this page! I love how soft the SX70 film always looks and how the camera itself is beautiful! If I won this little baby (which I hope I do!) I would definitely take it to the local reservoir, Pretty Boy. It's such a beautiful area. Or I might just take a walk around my neighborhood in Baltimore city. I really hope I win!
    June 29, 2010
  366. Diana - My next vacation will be in beautiful Kauai :)
    June 29, 2010
  367. Justin James - I love polaroids because they're the reason I fell in love with photography. I grew up only having a polaroid camera. My parents loved having the memory the instant it happened. We had polaroid photos all over our house, and to this day, I own several polaroid cameras and still use them. I think there's something so special about making a poor/amazing quality image the moment it happens. I'm also obsessed with anything antique/vintage/classic and this is definitely one of those things.
    June 29, 2010
  368. Dacy - Tokyo,Japan! I have two sx70s but I dont' mind one more!!
    June 29, 2010

I have just two packs of 600 Polaroid film left in the fridge that I'm saving for traveling adventures (I just used one roll on my desert vacation earlier this year). I am always so precious with my film, especially now with my Polaroid film, but I know that when I travel things are so different and unique than what I'm used to, and that's exactly what should be captured by a Polaroid.

We love celebrating here since it was also our wedding reception venue. Trees, shaded turf areas provide a serene setting for leisure activities including the Irvine Park Railroad train, bikes, paddle boats, the OC Zoo and more!! And, I'd also take pictures of the pond pond with stone-work waterfall and foot bridge that is located in the center of this beautiful park. June 29, 2010
  423. Allison - I would take this bad boy to visit a strange vestige of the '40s and '50s road side attractions -- the world's largest 10 Commandments. This place is located in the middle of nowhere Appalachia, built by a pentecostal church, and maintained by the donations of the folks around the town. The paint is crumbling, the words on the plaques are running, and the interest in waning, but the maintainers still blast vintage gospel from the loud speakers, heard from every point in the park, even atop the hillside where the largest 10 commandments are displayed. It's straight out of the past and preserved by people who care -- albeit, slightly creepy people who look like they are from a zombie movie, but the comparison works. Polaroid is just MADE to document places like this -- like I'm a tourist from another time period.
    June 29, 2010

  503. Chad McClarnon - If I were to win this camera and film, I would be using it at my wedding on July 18th. I had always dreamed about putting a Polaroid camera on every table at my wedding reception where people could just pick it up and take pictures. And the plan was to have a "film bar" that people could go to when the camera ran out. While I never could afford my original dream anymore, this camera and film would put me that much closer to it. Thanks Jose and Impossible Project!!
    June 30, 2010

    June 30, 2010
  518. lilmatt - my brother's wedding in Denver :)
    June 30, 2010
  519. Jesse - My next adventure in life is going to be the birth of my first child. Me and my wife are having a baby girl. I have been wanting to get a polaroid camera for a couple months now because it produces an actual tangible picture. I have hundreds (maybe thousands) of pictures of me and my wife on vacation and family functions but NONE of them see the light of day. The pixels end up on my hard drive, never processed, never to seen by anyone. A polaroid camera would be great to document my little girls entry into the world as well as she's growing up.
    June 30, 2010
  520. Meghan - I would take it to Savannah, Ga, where my parents grew up. I think the Spanish moss hanging from the huge old oaks would look so great in a Polaroid shot!

  523. Zach - If I won this lil beaut, I'd take my best gal to my super secret swimming hole - the best lil spring fed treasure in central Texas - for the day. The shots on this camera would be magnificent.
    June 30, 2010
  524. Olya - I want to take this cute lil' thing everywhere - to the mountains and lil' houses of Crimea, to the grey streets of Saint-Petersburg, to the colourfull life of Woodstock and cosy yards of Kyiv. 528. Christina S - The favorite person to me was my Grandmother. She passed away several years ago but I love going through her polaroid albums she was so dedicated to keeping. She hand wrote in captions and carefully documented her time with us. 530. Jen Woodruff - After a long love affair with photography, I went and did the a great but tragic thing and made my hobby and passion my job... Now operating a wedding photography business in Philadelphia for several years I feel detached from my passion for personal work. To correct and change this feeling I am planning a great adventure. A photo safari. I leave for 6 weeks the middle of Feb next year and will return on my 31st birthday at the end of March. On this adventure I hope to reconnect with my passion I had with photography, a passion begun in high school as I used my parents old polaroid camera and self developed 120 film. I can't wait to see the country exploring it with my eyes and recording the adventure on beautifully imperfect polaroids. I would be forever grateful for this prize and hope you will consider contributing to my photo safari adventure. best wishes!
    June 30, 2010
  531. Nancy - The Impossible Project are the greatest! If I'm lucky enough to win this beauty, she'll travel on a coast-to-coast roadtrip with me! (in usa) Thanks!

  532. Ann Marie - I love Polaroids! My dad used to use one like this one, and he first taught me about film photography using it. I went on to use his Olympus OM10 and still use that along with my digital Cannon. I'll be leaving for India in 2 months on a missions trip to work with women and young girls who have escaped the sex trade. This beauty would be able to help me capture the raw beauty of victory that will be in the faces of these women as they begin their new lives.

    June 30, 2010
  540. Shannon - In my mind a polaroid just screams 'road trip'. We are planning a family trip across australia next year - crossing the nullabor will be interesting to say the least. I now have visions of polaroid pictures capturing soaring eagles against a harsh sunlit sky, sleepy children in the back seat and kangaroo skulls against the red dirt.
    June 30, 2010

    June 30, 2010
  542. Amanda - I have this exact camera sitting on my bookshelf, broken. It was my grandfathers that he used in Italy to take pictures of shoes he wanted to sell in his store. He started his love of photography this way and passed it on to me while I was growing up. I have always wanted to fix the camera and take some portraits of him before he passes. If I had this camera, it wouldn't go on an exotic adventure, at least not at first. It would capture some humble portraits of a man who whose passion for photography has succeeded his generation.
    June 30, 2010
  543. Juha - I would take that camera to my Milan-Nice-Paris trip, quite sure there will awesome targets to take pictures from!
    June 30, 2010
  544. Vegar - Your Photographs are lovely! There is an apple orchard near my family's place and I just found out that they are converting it to a residential space. It is unfortunate because such scenic landscapes in Mississauga Ontario are becoming far and few between. I think the orchard would look very beautiful in the late summer and in fall, shot on ArtisticTZ with that SX-70!
    June 30, 2010
  545. Justin Peterson - My 2nd SX-70 kicked the bucket 2 months ago and I'm saving for my wedding so I haven't been able to get a replacement. If I were lucky enough to be selected for this awesome contest, I would make up for the hundreds of missed polaroid opportunities since and I would rock it hardcore at my wedding in August. Thanks!

    June 30, 2010
  550. Hunter Harrison - I love TZ Artistic Polaroid film because it can be so different than digital. It is sensitive to temperature and handling. It can be manipulated in interesting ways. The colors are to die for. I am so happy the film is part of the give away. In general, polaroids are awesome for their anachronism. Their timeless nature is perfect for modern weddings.
    June 30, 2010

I became obsessed with Polaroid cameras just a few short months ago, but in that time I have managed to collect more than ten of them. I have all sorts: Spectra Onyx, SX-70 "The Button", The Sun 600, etc. But what I REALLY want is one of these babies! Unfortunately, they're so expensive on eBay because of how desirable they are, as is the SX-70 Time Zero film. I would seriously piss myself if this were to be mine. June 30, 2010
  664. Vanessa P - I would love to win this camera to take with me to work...yes WORK. That is because I work out in a small agricultural school with low - income and in documentated children who have had the disadvantage to not be able to see many wonderful things that are out in this world. Starting with this camera, hopefully I could capture there smiles and bright ideas of fun new games they make. I would love for them to just understand the beauty of pictures since many of their parents don't even own or would like a camera. Coming from their traditional Mexican culture they shy away or feel too poor to get a photograph of their families. We have a curriculum focusing on their family and most don't have a picture. If I win this I would love to donate it to our site and have these children to have an opportunity with a camera snapping away their fun filled memories at school! :)
    June 30, 2010

That would definitely create an environment that bonds perfectly with the vintage looks of my pieces. YES! I think that would be awesome.

We have been documenting our wedding journey with photographs to share with our family and possibly use as centerpieces for our wedding.

1140. Denielle - My partner and I have been living between two continents for the past year. Flying back and forth from the US to the UK, we have endured many monthly separations. I'm in the process of finishing my MFA Thesis this month, and next spring he will finish his Luthier certification. We plan on marrying next year... a love long in need of some loving stability... though we will have to have our wedding only on one continent due to visa issues... and want to send many photos back home for his family to see. Polaroids are just plain awesome... that's all.

1141. Courtney Tompson - I'm from a little town called Moberly, MO so traveling and photography are the true loves of my life. Last summer I backpacked through Europe and just last week went to San Francisco for the first time. I hoping my next venture will be to the New England area or depending on funds I'd love to make it back to Europe to visit Ireland (a recent college grad so who knows tho when that will happen), which is where my family is originally from. I'd love to have a polaroid to take along!
    September 22, 2010
1142. Olga - I will take it to Neverland :)
    September 29, 2010
1143. Rachel - It was a camera designed for travelling - so I think it would be happy and excited to travel to Europe! Although I live in the north of England and I think images of the land of the Bronte sisters would be stunning (the wild landscapes, the old mill towns...) the camera would go with me everywhere, just like it was meant to, helping me to capture precious memories of the places we've been, the people we've met and the sights we've seen.

1145. Anushree - Hi. Just read about the giveaway...and now I know what camera you use for those ever so awesome Polaroid pictures you take. And about my little trip, I am planning a month long trip to a little village in the hills of Himalayas in India and the name is Moussourie. I plan my trip there cause my favorite author Ruskin Bond lives there. i have my whole childhood spent on his tales. They are so beautiful and I just want to drop by and say Hi to him and just tell him how much his writing has shaped me and maybe over a cup of tea ask him to sign one of his many books that I own. And its a month long trip because I believe you really don't get the feel of the place until you live there, mingle with the locals. I turn 25 this year and I feel I want to gift myself this trip and a conversation with Ruskin Bond. And so would love to have this camera to take long on my trip to the land where the fables of my childhood were written.

1146. Nicole Kassab - Hi! I've been on the prowl for one of these pretty lil ladies! I'm taking off for a month to live in Ireland with an older couple who is going to be teaching about their organic farm and sustainable living practices. They live in the gorgeous and historic town of Easky, known for it's beautiful churches and castle as well as world renown surf! A month after I get back I'm getting married and then we are heading straight out and off for a month of adventure across Europe! Oh the moments I could capture of my travels with this beauty! thanks nicole

I want to make a wall of polaroids of the amazing events leading up to, the event and the afters. We are getting married in Thornton Manor, UK. Our honeymoon is still a secret to me and I won't know until we get to the airport. :)

1150. Ashley Brokop - I would love to own this camera/ film combo. I have two siblings getting married next year and I am photographing both of their weddings- also have 3 young children that I photograph everyday. That doesn't sound very interesting like traveling to Milan or Africa or India or somewhere really exotic...but it would capture my normal life in South Carolina in an instant (and fantastically) and that, for me, would be priceless ;)
